Books I Badly Want To Buy This March

It’s finally March, and if you all have an idea about this month, it’s my birth month. So, my fingers are crossed to my friends who will buy me books that are released this month. I’m secretly hoping, not that I’m hoping. Well, I am. Kind-of. Let’s just get on with the list, shall we?

I would probably be Dumbledore this month if I get tons of books!

So here are the books that I’m excited to get this month:

  1. The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner

the serpent kingI actually have read this book last year, but since I completely love this book, and you all should definitely read this because it’s such a true book with mixture of laughter and heartbreak. Check out my review here if you are interested. I thought this book was going to be fantasy book because of the word “serpent,” but boy, was I wrong! So I’m pretty excited to get this one from our local book store.

I received an e-ARC of it from Jeff himself. Thanks, man!

2. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

I don’t even know how and why Lady Midnight got in my list. I haven’t read The Mortal Instruments nor The Infernal Devices. However, I’ve read City of Bones which is the first installment from the The Mortal Instruments series. I might consider buying this one because I’m enjoying the TV adaptation of Shadowhunters even though I have some issues with the cast. It’s definitely enjoyable for me.

3. Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

Okay, let’s talk about that beautiful cover that depicts a Western-feel to the book. I added this to my list because I won a signed sampler of this book from Alwyn Hamilton herself when she hosted a giveaway. I’ve been hearing great things about this book, cover and story-wise. Thus, color me very, very excited!

Here’s a picture of the signed sampler I received (candle and the book below are not included in the giveaway prize):

Others books I might consider buying this month:

I actually have heard great things about these books, especially Wink Poppy Midnight having a beautiful style of writing.

  1. Ooh, you have to read TMI and TID, especially TID because it’s my favorite trilogy ever and I loved it even more than the original series. The TV show has nothing to do with the book, they’ve messed things up too much for my own liking. I still watch it but I’m not that impressed. I actually just ordered Lady Midnight and I can’t wait to read it! And I want to read the Serpent King too. Your review was great!

  5. I keep seeing The Serpent King around, but I’m still not sure if I want to read it yet. Rebel of the Sands looks lovely and I just know I’m going to add that to my to read list at some point.

    1. The Serpent King is amazing and I recommend it to everyone. You should read it. For Rebel of the Sands, I’ve been hearing a lot of good things, so I bet it’s really good too.
